Speaker 1:

I just want to lie on the beach and eat hot dogs.

Speaker 4:

That's all I've ever wanted broadcasting live from high atop Alabama's beautiful sand mountain. You have a better chance of being hit by a meteorite than eaten by a wolf, except if you wake up naked in the woods. Please welcome your hosts.

Speaker 5:

Barry, I burned my foot very badly on my foreman grill and I now need someone to come and bring me into work.

Speaker 7:

I need to know who put my calculator in jello or I'm going to lose my freaking mind and Holly.

Speaker 1:

There's a lot more to me than my amazing samurai abilities.

Speaker 2:

This day is bananas B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

Speaker 3:

This day is bananas M M All right.

Speaker 1:

Good morning, it's 6.06. That may be one of my favorite intros. I just love Caddyshack.

Speaker 8:

You do. I do you do? That's one of your favorite movies and you've never watched it? I?

Speaker 1:

know you need to find time this weekend. I know you're going to be busy with the pooling and stuff like that, but it's just a good song, a good movie and a good song. I love the intro. 606 is going to be a Now. Yesterday they missed it a little bit. They were saying it was dry, but they said it was going to be not quite as humid, but it was humid. Today, though, they got it right. They're saying today is when the northwest wind comes in, and if you walk outside right now, it feels good.

Speaker 8:

Okay, but I have trust issues because they've missed it almost every day this week.

Speaker 1:

Well, today is beautiful. It's 62. You're looking for a high of 85, lower humidity, a nice breeze coming out of the north, it's going to feel better and tonight we're going to drop into the 50s. Oh so 58. So it's going to be a perfect day. Tomorrow a little bit warmer, but today and tomorrow, perfect weekend. Why couldn't? Last weekend, when there was so much stuff going on, we have weather like this you weren't meant to do it.

Speaker 8:

It just wasn't meant to be you had the uh made on the mountain festival you had june jam.

Speaker 1:

Which june jam did get it? Carried on but made on the mountain had to be canceled. I know if they were to be one week later, look at tomorrow perfect, perfect weather.

Speaker 1:

I know sunday cookie crumbles yeah, if you're heading to church sunday, there's a chance of rain 30 chance, possibly a pop-up shower. This morning we have sunshine 62 in Fort Payne, 65 in Gansden, word, 67. Excited, a lot of stuff going on today. I'm always excited, but today a lot of stuff. We've got another dog food total. It took another huge jump 7,407 pounds. Wow, we had a big Thursday.

Speaker 8:

We did. Yeah, looking over the names there. Yeah, I have to tell you Eric Ogle was the first one to come in yesterday.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, he sure was.

Speaker 8:

And then we've got Jeff Wilson from Boaz Riley and Amanda Bowers from Albertville, courtney Thompson from Guntersville, alexis Summers from Guntersville Let me tell you about this one. Alexis Summers from Guntersville. Let me tell you about this one Natalie Thorson and Leanne Brown from Nashville and Olivia Barnes it's hard to read the handwriting Olivia 480 pounds.

Speaker 1:

So they had it shipped here, I guess.

Speaker 8:

I don't know, I don't know if they drove it up.

Speaker 1:

I don't know.

Speaker 8:

Thank you so much, but 480 pounds was delivered yesterday.

Speaker 1:

Just from those folks. Just from those folks, yeah, so whether it's one bag or a bunch of bags. Thank you so much.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, thank you. I love the ones that are out of town and we've had a few more that have come by, but we're giving out T-shirts still. 30 pounds or more gives you a wolf stock t-shirt and you can come by.

Speaker 1:

We're here, come drop it off absolutely, and we've been doing this till the entire month of june. We're hoping to hit at least a goal is at least 22 000 pounds. That's the goal that's the goal.

Speaker 1:

It's kind of between year one and year two of the total we're looking for. So I think we can do this. I think, yeah, me and you is going to drive out to Second Chance Shelter in the next few days and maybe do a little Facebook Live and a little video and show some of those beautiful dogs that want to be adopted.

Speaker 8:

I think we should showcase some of them. I told Doug we can take them over to the little sitting area and show them how sweet they are, and I would love to pet them and something else they're going to be doing.

Speaker 1:

They did this last year. They haven't picked the date yet, but they're going to be bringing some of the dogs here to QSP and setting up in the yard and we're going to just hang out with the dogs some of the dogs and give you a chance to come by and bring us dog food, adopt a dog and just have some fun.

Speaker 8:

You know I have a fenced-in backyard. Oh, and you know I can't. I know I'm going to be leaving them with the dog.

Speaker 1:

You may have another one.

Speaker 8:

I may have another one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, Doug will be jealous.

Speaker 8:

I know, I know.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so a lot of stuff coming up. We have tickets to the Tennessee Aquarium. We'll be doing that. We have a special guest who will be joining us, a new member of the Morning Show who will be joining us later on this morning. You know her, You're friends with who the singer.

Speaker 5:

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 8:

Remember, she's coming today.

Speaker 1:

Yes, you didn't know.

Speaker 8:

No, I didn't know it was today.

Speaker 1:

Today she's coming in. It's today, yeah.

Speaker 8:

Today is the day. What time?

Speaker 1:

Sometime about 745, that area About 745. All right, and we've got a special science experiment we're going to be doing. Yes, I can't wait to do works? We're gonna see. Yeah, we'll tell you what that is coming up in a few minutes, but first things you need to know today, friday, june the 7th.

Speaker 8:

What's going on today? Today is national donut day. Yes, yes, all of donuts. I do too I. When I first started working here for the first probably six months, I brought in donuts every single monday and they were gone.

Speaker 1:

People loved them duncan supplied us with donuts. Yeah, yeah and they, they do during the loved them.

Speaker 8:

Dunkin' supplied us with donuts. Yeah, and they do during the blood drive. They're always good to us. The top donut flavors are glazed, just traditional glazed. The second is Boston Cream Field.

Speaker 1:

That's my favorite, oh you don't like it, not really.

Speaker 8:

I like the jelly field but not the cream field. I love the cream field. Chocolate Frosted can't go wrong. I love the cream filled Chocolate frosted Can't go wrong.

Speaker 1:

Jelly filled.

Speaker 8:

I love the lemon Jelly filled and we got a little something we're going to play in a minute.

Speaker 1:

Yes, we are, and then powdered sugar. Let's play now. Jelly Roll is an official spokesperson for Dunkin' and he did a commercial yesterday. I'm going to play you this commercial. You need to watch it. You can watch it on our Facebook page. You can watch it on our Facebook page, but you can listen here's.

Speaker 9:

Jelly Roll doing his Dunkin' commercial. Oh, it's National Donut Day tomorrow. Y'all called me just in time. You know everybody always asks me how I got the name Jelly Roll and believe it or not, the truth is, it's because of these little guys right here, he's eating a donut.

Speaker 9:

By the way, y'all know, growing up, donuts were truly my kryptonite. My mama used to tell me all the time that I was so sweet, I could open up my own Dunkin'. See, as for me, I love to dunk them. I mean, I love to dunk them, but you got to be careful to make sure they don't turn into mush. And there's many different Dunkin' styles too. The first one I affectionately named after my wife. I call this the bunny dunk, bunny hop, bunny hop, bunny dunk. And then there's the Nash smash. This is a nod to my Nashville roots. He just smashed the cup of coffee with a donut, and sometimes I even like to share a bite with my dog. Ain't that right, bussy? This is Bussy the Bus Dog, and he loves dunking. So happy National Donut Day. Y'all Grab a donut, enjoy the rest of your day and remember life's better with a little jelly in it, baby Little jelly in it.

Speaker 1:

Oh, I love it. You need to watch that commercial. It's on our Facebook page, so there you have it Donut Day. So what else is going on?

Speaker 8:

Okay, so 10 AI finalists have been selected in the first AI beauty pageant. This is weird. Wait a minute.

Speaker 1:

Okay, this is a beauty pageant for women who aren't even real Computer generated. Yeah, this is weird.

Speaker 8:

Yes, it's 10 women who are not real. They're still in the running to win the World AI Creator Awards.

Speaker 1:

Fanview. Is that it, whatever? I'm still new to this AI stuff.

Speaker 8:

The prize pool is $20,000. It's going to be split between the top three contestants.

Speaker 1:

No it won't. They're not real people. They're going to be given to the people who created them. The women aren't going to win anything.

Speaker 8:

They're not real. I know the AI finalists are judged based on their looks, technology and social media influence how do these women influence social media?

Speaker 1:

oh man, I'm looking at some of the pictures. They are not real women and there's a beauty contest for not real women are they?

Speaker 8:

are they beautiful?

Speaker 1:

well, there's different, I would say. I guess they are. You can look at them and see there's pictures of you. Click on the pictures on her Facebook page it's towards the bottom of today's feed, okay and you'll see. There's like three right off the bat they put up there. Oh, you click on that picture and you see the other seven who's in the top ten?

Speaker 10:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

And it's hard to believe. These are not real women. These are computer generated.

Speaker 8:

So do they do it just by pictures, or do they do it by?

Speaker 1:

Well like you said it's based on looks, technology and social media influence. Oh my gosh, how does that influence you by looking at a picture of a fake woman?

Speaker 8:

So I guess they're selling ads like they're doing, like a.

Speaker 1:

I have no idea, but what is the world coming to when we now have a beauty contest for women who aren't real?

Speaker 8:

That's not fair.

Speaker 1:

That's strange, that's not even fair.

Speaker 8:

That's not like. This is the world I'm raising my daughters in.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I told that to Scott and he said I'll pass because I get turned down by real women. I don't want to be turned down by a fake one.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, let me tell you, I know you have kids it yeah, let me tell you.

Speaker 8:

I know you have kids. It is so hard raising kids in today's world. It is Especially with AI, because I have two little girls that think that this is what they're supposed to look like. Yeah, this is the standard You're right. They're supposed to be perfect and we're not.

Speaker 10:

Nobody is no.

Speaker 8:

These AI images are not fair for our kids.

Speaker 1:

No, you're right, right, I don't like it. I don't like it, I don't like things like that.

Speaker 8:

We went to a seminar you and I did. We went to when we went to crs and they had a class on ai and they said, like it or not, it's on the way, it's coming, it's moving, you're gonna use it in the radio industry and we have we are, we are. We are using it Every day. We use it. It helps us with our podcasts. It does and we did a poll. You could send in a text message poll Are you excited for AI or are you scared for AI? And scared for AI won.

Speaker 1:

I agree, I'm kind of scared because it can take over our jobs.

Speaker 8:

It could yeah.

Speaker 1:

It possibly can.

Speaker 8:

Like literally have conversations back and forth and not need a body in the building. No, but, mrs C, we're too valuable, so don't let us go.

Speaker 1:

Yes, we are. Yeah, we're so good. Yes, we'll beat up that computer if you put it in here we will.

Speaker 8:

I will come in here with a screwdriver and a.

Speaker 5:

Yeah.

Speaker 8:

Mm-hmm, yeah, All right. Well, most days I feel like Barry my mind is just an Internet browser.

Speaker 9:

Okay.

Speaker 8:

I got 19 tabs open. Three of them are frozen and I have no idea where the music is coming from. No idea.

Speaker 1:

I'm with you, yep.

Speaker 5:

It's a confusing world.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I feel your pain at 616.

Speaker 4:

Barry and Holly on Alabama's Country, giant country, giant wqsb on track, I'll be there.

Speaker 1:

That's what I want to see in the like an imax theater oh yeah, you got to see that one in an imax you do you need the full surround sound, the full screen.

Speaker 8:

Yes, and I've got to tell the listeners you can hear music in the control room where we're at in here, but you crank that one all the way up to one million. I mean that one comes on and you kick the concrete doors in it's 10.5.

Speaker 1:

It's 10.5? Yeah, I ripped the knob off and put it back down.

Speaker 8:

I couldn't hear you. Oh no, there was no conversation. No, you can't talk during that song Okay, I just love that song.

Speaker 1:

I tell you when y'all hear that Luke Holmes sings his butt off in that song.

Speaker 8:

He does yeah.

Speaker 1:

Oakley may be the best song he's recorded in my book. Yeah, and it's in the soundtrack. The video for the song is amazing. They got clips from the movie. I think it's going to be huge, maybe one of the movies of the summer.

Speaker 8:

The music video.

Speaker 1:

Yes, whoa Good stuff.

Speaker 8:

Because he ties it in the movie. But it's not cheaply produced.

Speaker 1:

No, it's good.

Speaker 8:

It's good. It's like he's in the movie, is he?

Speaker 1:

in the band or outside, like inside of us, out in the storm.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, it's so good.

Speaker 1:

Gotta find the video, since you've been gone. A lot of great comments. She put this up yesterday afternoon. We'd like to know do you like QSB and why do you love QSB? Well, there's some great comments.

Speaker 8:

Do you like us? Yeah, are we your friends? Do you love us?

Speaker 1:

We try.

Speaker 8:

We're trying to be your friends.

Speaker 1:

We try to be your friend and friends of dogs and anybody we can be a friend to.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, I know Josh Coggins says, because y'all are always giving back. And that's what I love about QSB too we always give back.

Speaker 1:

We try to, whether it's St Jude or Second Chance Shelter, like here's Wanda McGee from Second Chance says the morning show is great and QSB always supports Second Chance Shelter Absolutely. When we find an organization we believe in, we do our best to help you out any way we can.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, jennifer Floyd she's a top fan says she loves the morning show and the music.

Speaker 1:

Thank you.

Speaker 3:

Thank you very much, I love that too, yes, yeah.

Speaker 8:

Felix Hamilton says country music and the gang that works there. Thank you. But you know what I love about QSV. What's that? The low turnover rate. You're right, People have been here forever.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I've been here four years.

Speaker 8:

You. You have been here since the 80s. No, I don't know 80s. They won't let me leave. Bill has been here since the 60s. Jeff has been here since the 60s. Was he after you?

Speaker 1:

Before, really, oh yeah.

Speaker 8:

Way before.

Speaker 1:

Way before. Yeah, Dale Stallings.

Speaker 8:

Dale Stallings has been here forever.

Speaker 1:

Rod Sisco.

Speaker 8:

Rod Sisco has been here forever. Mike Allen has been here forever. Rod Sisko Rod Sisko has been here forever.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, mike Allen has been here a long time.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, and Valerie, she's left to go work with her dad, but she still works with us. Yeah, she still works with us. She has worked here since she was how old? 16? Yeah, and she's 30-something now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, she's in her 60s, I think. No, she's 30s. Okay, I'm sorry, I don't know. Did you forget I'm?

Speaker 8:

not good with ages. You're not good with I'm not good. What are you good at? Nothing. Listening to Luke Combs yeah.

Speaker 1:

Really loud, yeah Turning all the way up.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

But there's some great comments. She'd be like a TV Cunningham Private detective, yes. So tell me, cunningham, who do you think killed her? I think it was Holly.

Speaker 8:

Cunning Wofford, cunningham Wofford.

Speaker 1:

He says y'all are awesome and very funny. Well, thank you.

Speaker 8:

Aw thanks.

Speaker 1:

Brian Hancocks is very informative and family-oriented. Love you guys, thank you.

Speaker 8:

We love our listeners and we do. And ren shaw says holly, oh, okay, and my favorite, so she's now the start of your fan club and is yeah, and the start of my fan club.

Speaker 1:

I've got one member is saying yeah, uh, dylan evers. Dylan used to work here and there's a nice little comment. He said qsp means so much to me, but not as a listener. He graduated high school back in 2003. Immediately started going to Snead. Over time he began skipping class and hanging out at the station and he really did. He did. And now, in his 20th year of radio, I've worked all over the country. I've been in Nashville. Dylan is awesome, very talented and it was great to have him here with us. And that's a very nice comment. And he says QSP, it was my college. Really, I owe y'all Thanks.

Speaker 5:

Oh, who said that? Dylan, dylan Evers.

Speaker 8:

Dylan Evers.

Speaker 1:

Dylan, we appreciate you, Dylan.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, that's amazing. I love that comment.

Speaker 1:

You're a great employee. One of the funniest things he ever did was we used to have the duck race those ducks off the bridge, yes, yes, and the duck race. People had a duck costume. They wanted somebody to wear. So, dylan being the new guy, oh no, he was chosen, chosen to wear. So here we are down there doing a remote leading up to the duck race and he's got the costume on and he gets hot and he needs to go smoke a cigarette. So there you people turn around the corner. There's a duck with no head on.

Speaker 8:

Smoking a cigarette.

Speaker 1:

That's one of the funniest things I ever saw. That is funny. It scarred kids for life.

Speaker 8:

So what's up with this hazing that we do with new people?

Speaker 1:

We do it, you do whatever.

Speaker 8:

The worst job coming up is, you do it Because last year I had to dress up as an alien for the festival. Yes, you did, and that was hot. Yes, I had a full suit. It even has like an air conditioner inside Yep, it has a little fan. But that's what I had to do when I started working here was be the alien.

Speaker 1:

So now the newest guy is Seth Seth. So, seth, it's coming up, we've got to find him something We've done, little things here and there, Seth thank you for the comments Please add to these. They're on a Facebook page.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's 630. Wqsb Mornings with Barry and Holly.

Speaker 1:

Are you a Metallica fan at all? I love.

Speaker 8:

Metallica yeah, especially on Guitar Hero.

Speaker 1:

You know, I didn't know that there was such a thing as this contest they have, but the Auburn band won this contest last year. What it is? Metallica's having their second annual Metallica Marching Band Competition Now. They had over 500 entries last year from college and high school bands. Your job is to come up with your own unique interpretation of Metallica's music. Prizes are up to $200,000 total and last year Auburn won for the college Division I. And here's a little piece of their halftime show. It doesn't say if they did this like every week. I don't know if they did this like every halftime show or maybe just one, but here's a piece of what Auburn did at halftime. On the field they formed like bells with the band.

Speaker 8:

So I guess this is for whom the bell tolls. I guess.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, you pick a song that you want. That sounds good, that sounds good. I love bands. I love high school bands. I do too, I love it.

Speaker 8:

I do too. When you did that last year, when you did that college band thing, I wanted to go to that. That was so cool.

Speaker 1:

So, like the Albertville one of the best bands around We've got some great bands in this area. We're blessed to have so many good bands in this area. Man, we do, yes. So I know most bands already have their halftime show lined up for this coming fall, because you probably get a lot of bands begin actually practicing like thank him.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's not long but if you haven't, you might want to look at this, because what they're doing is it's for a college and high school. Uh, the top college band will win fifty thousand dollars. Then there's like different levels, uh division one, two. Then then they go into high school. There's large high school, medium and small, and the large high school band is going to win up twenty thousand dollars. There's a first, second and third place. Then they all win at least. There's large high school, medium and small, and the large high school band is going to win $20,000. There's a first, second and third place. Then they all win at least $20,000.

Speaker 8:

That's incredible, so we should tell Taylor Cash about this.

Speaker 1:

Sure. Somebody tell Taylor yeah put together a little piece of a halftime show or a halftime show and they give you the list of songs you can choose from from Metallica. I'm not familiar with a lot of the songs, but this one, intercept, oh yeah, yeah, I love that. That's one of them. They've got master of puppets and some other ones. Uh, one for whom the bell tolls love it black, yeah, love it sad, but true, sick and destroy.

Speaker 1:

So you pick your song, then you shoot your video, then you send it to them and then they're going to pick a winner coming up later this year I didn't realize.

Speaker 8:

I am a Metallica fan. I'm looking at these songs and I like these. The only thing that I hate about Metallica is do you remember when Napster was around? Yes, and Metallica would not allow their music to be on there. I remember that. I got so mad at them. Les, yeah, isn't that the drummer?

Speaker 1:

less yeah somebody.

Speaker 8:

Anyway, it was him. He wouldn't let his music be on napster, and if you did download it, you got a virus yeah, but you're right.

Speaker 1:

I remember the kids used to play uh guitar hero oh yeah, they would.

Speaker 8:

They could wear out in her oh my gosh, that was the best the guitar is so good in that why do we not play that more? That's one of the best games ever. It is, it really is.

Speaker 1:

They should bring it back.

Speaker 8:

I love going to like a Dave and Buster's In Blandin. Yeah, I'll hog it for like 30 minutes. Little kids will be like tugging at my shirt tail and I'll smack them with the guitar. Hold on.

Speaker 1:

Hold on, I'm in a zone here, leave me. Yeah, all right. If you want to find out more details on this, there's details on our Facebook page at 642.

Speaker 1:

All right time of the morning for Holly's pile of stories. A lot of things happening this weekend. What is the top story?

Speaker 8:

Suzanne Collins will release a new book in the Hunger Games series Sunrise, on the Reaping.

Speaker 1:

Are you a big fan of Hunger Games?

Speaker 8:

I love, love the Hunger Games.

Speaker 1:

I've never read the books, but I love the movies.

Speaker 8:

The books. It's one of those things. The books are so much better Really. Yes, they were.

Speaker 1:

I love the movies.

Speaker 8:

Well, sunrise on the Roofing. It takes place 24 years before the original novel and 40 years after the most recent installment of the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Speaker 1:

That was a good movie.

Speaker 8:

I have that one on my bedside waiting to read that Gotcha. It will be released March 18th of 2025. Lionsgate already has plans to adapt the book into a film.

Speaker 1:

I think I read 2026 is when the movie will come out.

Speaker 8:

Okay For this one yeah, well, sega has announced the Angry Birds 3 movie, with Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad returning as the voice, red and Chuck.

Speaker 1:

I actually saw the first one. It was pretty good.

Speaker 8:

Did you see it at theaters?

Speaker 1:

or did you watch it at home? No, no, no. Did you go buy a movie ticket? I watched it when it was free.

Speaker 8:

I want to see Angry Birds, please.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 8:

One ticket for.

Speaker 1:

Angry Birds. One to Angry Birds. You must have nothing to do to, not do you?

Speaker 8:

sir. Nope, you live a very sad, very sad life, don't you? Here's some free popcorn. Go and sit in the corner. The San Francisco home, featured as the Tanner's house and full house, is listed for sale for $6.5 million, rumor has it, tyler May, he did Put an offer in.

Speaker 1:

Oh no, no, I think that's a poor rumor. No, he just Because he was out there visiting.

Speaker 8:

No, that was no that was not true. No, no. All he did was take a picture in front of it, that's it OK he didn't put a bid on no-transcript.

Speaker 1:

Tyler does 14? 14. Okay, 15 if you count the trash pandas. Oh yeah, I forgot about that, okay.

Speaker 8:

The 3,700 square foot home has 11 foot ceilings and two fireplaces. I don't remember seeing a fireplace.

Speaker 1:

I don't either.

Speaker 8:

But 11 foot ceilings is good for shooting filming.

Speaker 1:

I think so yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 8:

Universal Studios will include a haunted house based on the movie A Quiet Place.

Speaker 1:

One of my favorite all-time movies. It's one of the creepiest movies.

Speaker 8:

It's so creepy. At this year's Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood. The attraction will incorporate American Sign Language due to the film's focus on silence. Let me tell you about them. Was that the one with John Krasinski? No, john Krasinski, john.

Speaker 1:

Krasinski and his wife.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, that would be quiet.

Speaker 1:

The movie was like very little sound because they had to use sign language. But I love the fact that they used the sign language and they wanted the actress who played the daughter to be someone who actually used sign language and they didn't want some actress pretending to have a hearing loss, they wanted a real actress and she was amazing in the first two movies and the new one comes out in just a few weeks, the new Quiet Place. Now this one goes back to the very beginning and shows how like the monsters came to be on Earth, like they won.

Speaker 8:

Oh yeah, it shows how that happened. I like those origin stories, yes, and the trailer looks good.

Speaker 1:

I love A Quiet Place. John Krasinski is part of this one too. Oh, he is. I'm not sure if he's going to be in it, but he's producing, directing it, or something.

Speaker 8:

Surely he'll be in it, I hope so it looks good, though Alright.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 8:

Here we go.

Speaker 1:

So there you go. That was all, holly. It had nothing to do with him.

Speaker 5:

You're going to have some fun. Yeah, that's just great.

Speaker 1:

Boy, is this great WQSB? The Weekend is officially started. Finally, Friday, it's George Jones and the gang 734, Barry and Holly. Our friend Rachel will be joining us. Our newest staff member Not Rachel, but another member will be joining us in about 10 minutes. Oh, I was confused. She'll be joining us and helping us give away tickets to Chattanooga. Well, that's nice Yep, and then we'll all be tasting these new Powerade Sours.

Speaker 1:

We have three flavors. I'm a little worried about these. Are you concerned? Yeah, because I don't like sour stuff, especially a sour drink. I've never had a?

Speaker 8:

I don't think I will, but we'll see. Okay, so listen, we've got blue razz, watermelon, lime and green apple and green apple. Yeah, sonia just messaged us. I'm going to see how we say, how we officially say her last name.

Speaker 1:

And Sonia is our listener of the day. So thank you so much, Sonia. We'll giving away a family pack of four to the listener of the week. We'll do that coming up later on, yeah we will.

Speaker 8:

Did you say how to say it? I just said it. Keep an eye out on the podcast post. I will be putting that up between 9.30 and 10.

Speaker 1:

Okay, come on man, other things going on. Why would you do this in Toronto? And they do this in other parts of the country and the world. It's a group called Bike Share. You've seen these in cities where there's bikes on the corners. You take the bike, you ride them and then you leave them at another location when you finish with it. Well, bike Share Toronto. They're urging riders to, if you use one of the bicycles for the weekend coming up, to please clean the seat when you finish, because they're having the World Naked Bike Ride this weekend in Toronto.

Speaker 8:

Wait.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's the 20th anniversary of the ride coming up tomorrow.

Speaker 5:

Mmm.

Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh. The director said it's a publicly available system, the bike share thing. But the problem is please, if you are naked and you're going to use one of their bikes, when you finish, at least get some kind of wipe and clean the seat.

Speaker 8:

Is that not dangerous?

Speaker 1:

I would think it would be. Are these like those banana seat bicycles? For a guy or anybody? That would be dangerous. Ooh Slam on the brakes with no. What's a banana seat bicycles?

Speaker 8:

for a guy or anybody, that would be dangerous oh, slam on the brakes with no.

Speaker 1:

What's the banana seat it looks. It's wide at the back and it kind of narrows down at the front, looks like I thought that was all seat.

Speaker 8:

I thought that was all there was some versions.

Speaker 1:

It was really narrow at the end. But I'm saying you slam on the brakes and you just met a new friend.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, I'm limited on what I can say here.

Speaker 1:

Yes, you are.

Speaker 8:

I'm not trying to be quiet on purpose.

Speaker 1:

But why would you want to ride a bicycle With no clothes on in the first place? It says they're promoting Cycling safety and it's a global protest against the over usage Of oil and urban pollution, encouraging people to Ride bicycles instead. Okay, that's fine, I like riding bicycles, but I'm always going to wear clothes. Oil and urban pollution are encouraging people to ride bicycles instead. Okay, that's fine, I like riding bicycles, but I'm always going to wear clothes. I mean, it's going to be bad enough if, when I was little, on a bicycle you would have a wreck on like a dirt road, you would tear your knees and elbows up. Can you imagine having a wreck on a dirt road with no clothes on?

Speaker 8:

Mm-mm, mm-mm, you'd have skin, everything you thought a boo-boo on the knee and the elbow was bad.

Speaker 1:

Ooh, you've got a boo-boo on the boo-boo.

Speaker 8:

Ooh, which one? There's a bunch of choices here. All of them, all of them, all of the above, all the boo-boo places, all the boo-boo places are injured Mama not going to kiss that no. Mama had to stop kissing that when the baby turned two, where she drops.

Speaker 1:

That's where she drops that? Yeah, it's 737.

Speaker 4:

And Holly, on Alabama's Country, giant WQSB.

Speaker 8:

So we'll have to see what we think.

Speaker 1:

We'll try that, if you don't mind, we've got a new employee here, which Rachel's in here with us. Now we're going to have to use your microphone, if you don't mind, eileen? That's fine, because, rachel, you've got us a new hire here. I do.

Speaker 1:

She's joining us for the morning show for the first time, I know. So thank you very much. What we've done is we've combined two of the most popular musical formats in the world country music and opera top two formats, little known fact and we're putting together a mashup of copra, country and opera. And joining us is our newest staff member, opera Lady. So good morning, opera Lady. How are you? Hello to every morning show, wow, so I take it you answer everything with a song.

Speaker 5:

So what did you have for breakfast? I had scrambled eggs and pancakes you have a lovely singing voice isn't it beautiful.

Speaker 6:

She's been sipping on the lemon water this morning. You know, I'm just making sure she's ready for this.

Speaker 1:

Well, it is great to have you with us opera lady, so would you mind doing a contest with us?

Speaker 5:

I would love to help you bury.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we're going to let you do a copra version of a popular country song, but singing it in your opera voice. We're going to give it like a couple of lines and if caller number 10 can identify guess the song that you're singing the line from, we're going to give them a Barry and Holly Morning Show t-shirt with a chance to upgrade that to tickets to Chattanooga. How does that sound to you, opera lady? Can they sing with me? I really doubt it. So I've got some opera music to help you out here. Oh, that's not it, I've lost it. Here we go. Here's your opera music that put you in the mood. Okay, just give us a line from a popular country song in your best opera voice.

Speaker 5:

It ain't no lie. I can't make this kind of mess all by myself. Don't act like you can help me pull the bottle off the shelf.

Speaker 1:

This might be tough for the listener. Wow, that was beautiful. Thank you, that was beautiful. So, caller 10, if you can tell us what line that came from, it's going to be tough. We're going to give you a morning show t-shirt with a chance to win tickets to Ted Adubio. Call her at 10. Plays the game 878-8000-1800-233-1051. Opera Lady, don't go away. Qsb at 753 Tim McGraw. One bad habit, I tell you, rachel. Opera Lady, the phones are going crazy over this contest.

Speaker 6:

Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Opera Lady, we've got a caller number 10 on the phone line. Do you want to speak to her?

Speaker 5:

Oh yes, let's speak right now.

Speaker 1:

It's Krista Frazier from OAS.

Speaker 5:

Hey Krista, how are you?

Speaker 1:

I'm good, how are y'all?

Speaker 2:

Good Say good morning to Opera Lady, please. Good morning Opera Lady.

Speaker 5:

Good morning.

Speaker 1:

Krista. Now here's the deal. Okay, the line that Opera Lady just sang you want to sing it one more time.

Speaker 5:

Opera Lady, it ain't like I can make this kind of mess all by myself. Don't act like you ain't helped me pull that bottle off the shelf.

Speaker 1:

Wow, wow, whoa Krista, can you name that song?

Speaker 6:

Yeah, that is High Stump Hill by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen.

Speaker 1:

Yes, you have just won a Morning Show t-shirt. Now you have a chance to upgrade this to tickets to the Tennessee Aquarium, but here's what you've got to do. Opera Lady is going to sing another line from the song and you need to sing with her in your best opera voice. Do you have an opera voice, Kristen? Do you think you can do this? I?

Speaker 2:

think I can try. I don't really know how to sing opera, but I can try.

Speaker 1:

Well, I don't think she does either, but she's giving it a heck of a shot either but she's giving it a heck of a shot. I can't sing so well. Opera, lady, are you ready?

Speaker 5:

okay, the next line you ready to sing with krista, or do you want her to sing by herself? You need to sing with her. I think she's got it very.

Speaker 1:

Go krista you want to go by yourself, krista? Do you want her to sing with you?

Speaker 6:

I'd rather her sing with me okay.

Speaker 1:

okay, I'll turn her mic down a little bit. Are you ready opera lady? Yes, okay, go whenever you're ready. Just join in, krista.

Speaker 10:

Been deep in every weekend if you couldn't tell.

Speaker 5:

They said teamwork makes the dream work. I had some hope.

Speaker 1:

Oh, my goodness, Krista, to finish it up, do the dream work part again, krista.

Speaker 5:

They say, dream work makes a difference. Dream works.

Speaker 1:

Yay, you are awesome, krista. Congratulations. You've won tickets to the Tennessee Aquarium and a morning show T-shirt. How did she sing opera, lady? Did she do good?

Speaker 5:

Oh, she did so good.

Speaker 1:

Krista, thank you so much for playing along with us and we hope you have a great time at the Tennessee Aquarium. Okay.

Speaker 8:

All right, thank you.

Speaker 1:

All right, thank you very much. That was awesome. I play, it's great to have you on the staff. Thank you so much. Thank you 756 wqsb. Mornings with barry and holly hey, qsb number one for two weeks in a row bailey, zimmerman, and where it ends 8, 13 with barry and holly rachel in here with us, and we have a scientific experiment. Let me get some scientific music here.

Speaker 8:

Hold on.

Speaker 1:

I'm supposed to go facebook live oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you um okay, we'll hold off on the experiment, but, uh, coming up in a few minutes. Um, we're gonna be taste testing, but first we're gonna do this experiment. We read a story back it's been a few weeks ago that said that lemons and limes, even though they may taste similar, there's a difference in if you put them in water. Lemons and limes have the density. Is the difference right?

Speaker 8:

Yeah, that's what the story says.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I don't know. Rachel may know I was horrible in school, I was horrible in science, I was horrible in all this. I didn't. The only thing I was good at was pee. So you may know the reasoning behind this, rachel. It says the density, that lemons have slightly lower density compared to limes, so limes tend to sink in water, lemons stay at the top.

Speaker 6:

Does that make sense? Yeah, that makes sense, because limes are a lot more dense than lemons.

Speaker 1:

But looking at the because you have over there next to you, holly, you have a lemon and a lime. The lemon is much bigger. Yes, yeah, you would Because you have over there next to you, holly, you have a lemon and a lime. The lemon is much bigger.

Speaker 1:

Yes, you would think by just looking at them side by side, the lemon would be the one that would sink. Yeah, but when you go into the inside I guess that's where the difference is they say that the density factor lemons are a slightly lower density. That's why they float. So we thought we would give it a try. So you brought in a big bowl of water. So they say when you drop the two in the water, the lemon should stay at the top and the lime should sink.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, that's what the story says.

Speaker 1:

It should sink according to this, so you ready to try this yeah?

Speaker 6:

I'm ready to try it? Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so you've got the water. So the water's in front of Holly big bowl and we're going to drop, you're going, yep, and according to this, the lemon should float and the lime should go down to the bottom.

Speaker 8:

All right, we're going to see.

Speaker 1:

Okay, here we go. Okay, and now, from what just happened, the lemon stayed at the top the whole time. The lime did go to the bottom for a second, but now it's also floating at the top.

Speaker 8:

That's a sham.

Speaker 1:

That's just a bad lime. I think you think it's a bad lime. Maybe you give limes a bad name. I think it's a Bon Jovi song.

Speaker 8:

You give limes a bad name.

Speaker 1:

You suck lime, which you do suck a lime.

Speaker 8:

Well, I mean in the summertime you do, oh, you can.

Speaker 1:

I don't think you can A lemon or a lime. Ask Rachel Okay, the difference here. What did you see there, rachel? You're the scientific person here. What happened?

Speaker 6:

It bobbles. It bobbles in the water. I mean the lime will go down to the bottom, but it wiggles its way up to the top.

Speaker 1:

Wiggles. If you want to see this, we're Facebook live. You can go back and watch it on Facebook and see what we just did. But the lemon did stay at the top the entire time.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, let the listeners try it and let us know how it goes for them.

Speaker 8:

Oh, yeah, send us your videos.

Speaker 6:

But you really think?

Speaker 1:

the lime. It's a bad lime Because it does have its it is a little yellow. Yeah.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, I want it, but not ripe Maybe.

Speaker 1:

Maybe it's not full-blooded lime.

Speaker 8:

Maybe a crossbreed.

Speaker 1:

May have. I'll have to check the tree, check the lime tree and see what I was shaking, but according to our study just done, it did not work. Now, the lime did go to the bottom for a second and then it came right back up. It did, but it doesn't stay at the bottom like the story said it would.

Speaker 6:

No, it does not. I'm wondering if it's a hoax or if it's just a bad lime.

Speaker 1:

They just wanted to sell All that. Grocery store started this so people would come out and buy all their lemons and limes.

Speaker 8:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

And it worked, so now we have two of them.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, what are we going to do with these?

Speaker 1:

Well, I'm going to get my $2 back from the company. No, but really, if you've got lemons and limes, try it sometime.

Speaker 8:

This gets you like a. That would work yeah.

Speaker 1:

You're going pooling with your daughters this weekend, so take those and see if it works in the pool. Okay, I'm curious.

Speaker 8:

I will, maybe we'll get a different line. Yeah, we'll get a different one, okay.

Speaker 1:

Now, while you're in here, we also have our other piece of business. We have our 10 out of 10 food taste test Powerade drinks.

Speaker 8:

Where did the other one go?

Speaker 1:

It's in the freezer. Oh, she cooled it down, so she's running to get it. Oh, oh, oh, she'll be back. So these came out about what two couple months ago. Yeah, a couple months ago, and we just have got around to trying these. So there's now yours. You're going to try that one first. Yours is watermelon Lime. Watermelon lime I'm going to make it near as a blue raspberry.

Speaker 10:

Yeah, okay, sour blue raspberry.

Speaker 1:

So you're going to try the watermelon first. Go ahead and. I'll try the green apple, all right, and Rachel's going to try the blue raspberry.

Speaker 8:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you ready.

Speaker 5:

Uh-huh.

Speaker 1:

Okay, you go ahead and try your watermelon.

Speaker 6:

Oh, this is nasty, oh my gosh, the green apple is horrible.

Speaker 1:

Oh oh. Green apple tastes like those potato chips we had on Monday.

Speaker 8:

Oh my gosh Gross Zero out of ten.

Speaker 1:

I don't taste any green apple in this at all.

Speaker 8:

I don't taste any, I only taste watermelon. I don't taste anything sour here. Try this one, mine's watermelon lime. Okay, Let me try your.

Speaker 6:

Yours is blue raspberry Mine's blue raspberry and it's pretty good. I can see the kids loving this Let me try the blue raspberry. Is it sour?

Speaker 1:

at all A little. The green apple was not. If you can grab the green apple over there.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, after you said it was yuck.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's not good at all. I'll try the watermelon lime here.

Speaker 8:

The blue raspberry is not sour at all, it just tastes good. I like the blue raspberry.

Speaker 1:

The watermelon lime is sour.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, the green is absolutely horrible.

Speaker 1:

Okay, let me try it. Green is awful.

Speaker 6:

Oh yeah, you try it, holly.

Speaker 1:

I wouldn't pour it on an ant bed.

Speaker 8:

Oh my gosh, a dog. A dog just entered the building. Yes, oh my goodness, we have a buddy this evening. I'm like hey springy dog food yes.

Speaker 1:

Yes, no, it's awful.

Speaker 8:

Zero.

Speaker 1:

Okay, the blue raspberry is pretty good.

Speaker 8:

That's the pet of the week, dog. Oh, is it? It's blue Pet of the week. Oh, please don't leave without us getting a picture.

Speaker 1:

She's out there. She's good, but let's give her the rating here. Okay, blue raspberry is pretty good.

Speaker 8:

I give the blue raspberry about an 8.

Speaker 1:

It's pretty good. Kids will love it. It's not bad.

Speaker 8:

I like it. It tastes like blue raspberry.

Speaker 1:

Watermelon lime is sour.

Speaker 6:

It's sour, I wouldn't drink more than that, let me try the watermelon lime.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I wouldn't drink any more than a sip or two the green apple. I hope you guys don't.

Speaker 8:

I feel like this is heartburn in a bottle.

Speaker 1:

The green apple is horrible.

Speaker 6:

The watermelon is sour, but it doesn't really have a watermelon taste.

Speaker 8:

It's weird, I don't like it.

Speaker 1:

Of the three, I would recommend blue raspberries.

Speaker 8:

Of the three, I recommend blue raspberry.

Speaker 1:

I wouldn't pour the green apple on a hand bed.

Speaker 8:

I would rather drink motor oil.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we'll be trying motor oil on Monday. Yes, we will. Alright, there you have it. It's 819.

Speaker 4:

Mornings with Barry and Holly here on Alabama's country giant WQSB.

Speaker 1:

Second Chance Shelter. The new total on our Woodstock dog food collection is 7,407 pounds. Oh my gosh. We had another well over 800 pounds yesterday brought in.

Speaker 8:

That's incredible.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and we had some good.

Speaker 8:

I think some listeners brought in some food this morning already they have what's our goal of the day.

Speaker 1:

If we could get at least 700 pounds a day, we have a chance of hitting our overall goal, which we're hoping is like around 22,000.

Speaker 8:

And we've got to remind Mark Brickey when we talk to him next week that Greg Anthony has called him out.

Speaker 1:

That's right. We've got to let him know, because he may not even know that he's been called out and all the car dealers in this area, because Greg Anthony stepped up and donated 1,000 pounds last week last Friday.

Speaker 8:

He sure did. He can't be the only one.

Speaker 1:

So we're off to a great start. If you'd like to drop off dog food during business hours Monday through Friday, and for 30 pounds or more you get a Woodstock dog food T-shirt. So we'll talk more about animals coming up in a few minutes. Hey, a couple of crazy stories in the news this morning. How about the news reporter? She was at the White House and she was at the white house and she was outside and she was getting ready to go live and do a news story. She worked for a news nation. Her name is kelly meyer. Now this didn't make it on the air, but they're now sharing what happened to her everywhere. Now she's okay, but she's out there on the lawn of the white house and, as they're, she's getting ready to go live. A bird swoops in behind her and lands on her head oh no, when she's about to go live.

Speaker 1:

Yes, oh my god so she panics because her concentration is now shot and they're about to go live to her and she's about to lose it and just break up laughing. Yeah, tell her, kelly, get it together, we're about to go live. We have you going live in just a second and and you can see the video. It's on her Facebook page. But she does pull it together professionally and she's fine. She makes it through the news, makes it through the news story. What would you have done? You're outside, say, we're doing a remote.

Speaker 10:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And a bird or something lands on you or goes down your goes in your mouth.

Speaker 8:

How about what happened to you? Tell, it goes in your mouth. How about?

Speaker 1:

what happened to you? Tell that story. Years ago, we were at a concert and we were on stage before the concert started doing a break and as we were talking doing the break, a bug flew into my mouth. Yes, and it went down. I'd like to know. There was two of us doing the remote because I couldn't finish the break. That was disgusting.

Speaker 8:

I don't want anything like that to happen to me. I'm scared.

Speaker 1:

Like a bug in your mouth.

Speaker 8:

When I was riding on a motorcycle. I don't know what kind of bug it was, but I ate it. It was like instinct to swallow it.

Speaker 1:

I don't know. Well, you should always keep your mouth closed on a motorcycle, I would think.

Speaker 8:

Well, you should. I don't know why my mouth was open. Why?

Speaker 1:

was my mouth open, I'm sure you were probably singing talking.

Speaker 8:

I was probably just driving around the road going. Why was?

Speaker 5:

my mouth wide open. Well, there goes, holly.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, got her mouth open. She never shuts her mouth. Catch a bug, never shuts her mouth.

Speaker 8:

I know, they told me I talk too much in school, but now I'm a radio announcer, that's true. Yeah it's 828.

Speaker 4:

Barry and Holly on Alabama's country giant WQSB.

Speaker 1:

Other things going on. The cicadas are back in the news. Yes, I didn't know that. There's now blue-eyed cicadas out there.

Speaker 8:

Oh, blue eyes.

Speaker 5:

Yeah and we've seen the red ones.

Speaker 8:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Those are creepy looking.

Speaker 8:

Those are weird.

Speaker 1:

But people are now spotting rare blue-eyed cicadas Now. Cicadas have been coming up all over the place for the past couple of months, yeah, and they've got the normal ones and they've got the red eyes, and now there's extremely rare blue-eyed cicadas. I'm looking at the picture of them here, this poor cicada it looks. If that's the little eye, it's like it's cross-eyed.

Speaker 8:

Well it is. Look at it, bless it. Yeah, it is cross-eyed, but cicadas are ugly. There's no such thing as a pretty cicada, but this is a pretty color blue.

Speaker 1:

I actually see why they only mate every 17 years. I get it now. These are ugly.

Speaker 8:

They wake up ready to mate, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Look at its eyes. It's like it's seriously, it really does have blue.

Speaker 8:

It's blue. Are those black?

Speaker 1:

as pupils. That's what I don't know. It looks like it's cross-eyed, don't it? Yeah?

Speaker 8:

it does look cross-eyed.

Speaker 1:

That's why they keep running, flying into the windshields. Yeah, oh, they say these are often called one in a million.

Speaker 8:

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1:

If you see a blue-eyed one.

Speaker 8:

Can you imagine riding on a motorcycle and having a cicada fly in your mouth?

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 8:

That would have hurt.

Speaker 1:

Because we considered talked about it, discussed with the lawyers about eating cicadas.

Speaker 8:

And they said it wasn't safe.

Speaker 1:

So far we've been shut down by the HR department, yep and the staff doctor. Yes, yeah, dr Sleazy.

Speaker 5:

Dr Feelgood.

Speaker 1:

Dr Feelgood said it's not a good idea. Yeah, because we'd like you both to be able to come back to work the next day. But they say if you find one of these, it's not like you're going to win a prize. They say take a picture and upload it to Cicada Safari. Whatever, what is that Cicada Safari?

Speaker 8:

I want no part of that, no, cicada.

Speaker 1:

Safari.

Speaker 8:

I want no part of that, no, but you can take a picture of the blue-eyed cicada. You're my blue-eyed cicada that works.

Speaker 1:

What was that from?

Speaker 8:

You're my brown-eyed girl.

Speaker 1:

Oh, oh, I see what you did there. I'm going to tell Opera Lady to come back in here. No, she is in the back. No, she's in the back.

Speaker 8:

No, she's in the back. She works all the time. Yeah, she's just back there all the time.

Speaker 1:

I think she's trying to figure out how to plug up the Coke machine. Oh yeah, because I went to get a drink this morning and it was silent.

Speaker 8:

Well, we're all excited.

Speaker 6:

I know the Coke machine was delivered yesterday. It's back there. It stopped, but you said it's not on, it's not working.

Speaker 1:

I tried to get a drink.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, we tried to get a drink out of it. It didn't work.

Speaker 1:

So I tipped it over, Okay.

Speaker 8:

I'll go back there and check it, but we're excited. You tipped it over I got mad.

Speaker 1:

I took my dollar. Oh well no wonder it's not working. No, I'm kidding. No, I didn't even get that far. It doesn't have like any lights on.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, like nothing's on.

Speaker 1:

Nobody's home.

Speaker 8:

But we can figure it out probably.

Speaker 1:

We will All right, it's 840.

Speaker 4:

WQSB Mornings with Barry and Holly.

Speaker 1:

And it's time for the quote of the day. Words of wisdom, and we appreciate the response on this. Yeah, the response has been great People talking about they like these, they are sharing them. They're sharing these with others, with work or with friends, family. Whatever. We try to find something. Maybe that's inspiring, uplifting or funny, and today I think it's a good one for the weekend. What have you got today?

Speaker 8:

Yep, I love this quote. It says they may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.

Speaker 1:

So how do you see that they will never forget how you made them feel? So how do you see that? I think it's like we were talking, like I mentioned, that Mr C a few weeks ago walked up to me and told me how much he listened to the morning show and how much he enjoyed it and how much he appreciates us, and from that point on I don't know what else he said because I was just blown away, but I remember how it made me feel what he said and the fact that he came over, shook my hand and took some time to say something nice.

Speaker 8:

Yeah, I think you're right. I think like that time just a few days ago at the gas station, when the guy that told me Exactly. I may not remember every word, word for word, that he said, but I know how he made me feel. He made me feel like I was making a difference, and if you can make somebody feel like they're making a difference in the world, you've accomplished something great today.

Speaker 1:

If you appreciate somebody, don't keep putting. Just tell them. You know you don't wait until it's too late and you wish oh, I wish I'd have told them this or that. Or, you know, take time to find somebody this weekend. That means something to you and let them know.

Speaker 8:

And that's coming from a place of experience with you. Yeah know, and that's coming from a place of experience with you, yeah, so take that to heart and and apply you'll regret it if you don't say things that you want you need to say now.

Speaker 1:

If you keep holding it in, that's going to get you one day and you're going to say now I don't have a chance to say what I wanted to say. Always take that chance and say it. Yeah, you never. I mean it's going to make them. It may not be the greatest words in the world, but the fact fact that you say something nice, try to build somebody up they're going to appreciate it.

Speaker 8:

Absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Yep, so good one, good stuff. We'll have more quotes coming up. Don't forget to check out our podcast coming up later this morning. You'll have a chance to be our listener of the day and we'll have our listener of the week.
